Taif: Rose Farms and Al-Hada

Visit a rose farm and distillery in Taif, then drive up the Al-Hada road into the mountains.

Taif

We head to the Taif rose farms in Al-Hada and Al-Shafa, walk among the bushes and learn how roses are picked at dawn. We then visit a distillery to see how rose water and rose oil are made the traditional way, and try the products. Afterwards we drive up the Al-Hada mountain road for the views and the cooler air. Rose season runs roughly from March to April; for the rest of the year we visit the distillery and its shop together with the mountain drive.
