An Evening Walk in Historic Al-Balad

Walk the lanes of historic Jeddah among wooden roshans, Nassif House and the old souks.

We meet at Bab Makkah at sunset and enter historic Jeddah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We walk among coral-stone houses with their wooden roshans, stop at Nassif House and Al-Shafi'i Mosque, and hear how Jeddah grew as the Red Sea gateway for pilgrims and trade. We end in Souq Al-Alawi with a local drink in one of Al-Balad's cafés. An evening walking tour suitable for everyone, and for photographers.
