We drive to a palm farm on the edge of Madinah. Walking among the palms, you learn how a date palm is cared for from pollination to harvest, and how Ajwa differs from Safawi, Sukkari and other varieties. We then sit down in the farm's majlis to taste dates with Arabic coffee, and learn how to choose good dates before you buy.
